Surfactants

Surfactants are central to many interface related applications ranging from molecular biology to cleaning. With QCM-D, surfactants can be characterized in terms of adsorption kinetics, layer thickness and morphological changes to the adsorbed film. The effectiveness of surfactants for cleaning purposes can be monitored by studying the removal of a lipid film.
