• Distinguish between aggregates and monolayers thus evaluating the function of surfactants
• Thanks to the Dissipation, morphological changes in the surfactant film can be traced
• Characterize the thickness and hydration of surfactant films
• Various types of surfaces - metals, polymers, functionalized and even nano-structured coatings - can be employed
