Latest scientific meeting in Europe Feb -09
On February 24-25, Q-Sense held their 8th scientific meeting in Göteborg, co-hosted by Chalmers University of Technology. Under the title “Powerful combinations with QCM-D”, speakers, including Prof. Bengt Kasemo (Chalmers) and Prof. Janos Vörös (ETHZ), and 21 other oral and poster contributions, covered a broad range of applications. The meeting gathered more than 50 QCM-D users and curious prospectives from all over Europe.
The two days allowed for many interesting discussions where users as well as Q-Sense specialists shared their thoughts and ideas on the latest within QCM-D research. Chairman Fredrik Höök showed encouraging statistics on citations, and concluded that Dr. Ralf Richter’s work “Pathways of lipid vesicle deposition on solid surfaces: A combined QCM-D and AFM study”, Biophysical Journal 2003, is the most cited QCM-D work. We were pleased to hear Dr. Richter himself talk at our meeting as well!
