Q-Sense presents the High Temperature Chamber (QHTC 101) as a complement to our E1 and E4 systems. The QHTC 101 will further expand the temperature interval at which the QCM-D can monitor surface interactions.
With an increased temperature range, spanning from 4° C to 150° C*, alteration of material properties such as phase transitions or changes like film degradation, shrinkage, swelling, and changes in viscoelasticity can now be more extensively characterized with respect to temperature dependence.
By making such changes possible we now enable closer studies of e.g. surface coatings. Additionally, the new QHTC 101 will be suitable for characterization of surface interaction processes such as molecular uptake/release, conformational arrangements, surfactant efficiency, and sedimentation of oil-based products.
*Note that an exterior heater/cooler aid is required to reach temperatures below RT and above RT + 60 °C.
